We live in a day in age, where economic conditions have driven down our outlook for the future. This is not the first-time folks have gone through trials and tribulations and begun to doubt God’s promises for them.
In the book of Nehemiah 4:10 says; “Meanwhile, the people in Judah said; “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”” The wall they were referring to was the wall of fortification around Jerusalem which had fallen into disarray, and the people were getting tired of rebuilding the cities wall.
Many times, in our lives we face walls that seem too high to climb, too big to go around, and you just want to give up. Much like the people of that day, you will face naysayers who will try to destroy your positive outlook. Who will drain your hope and cause you to develop self-doubt which will set in motion a defeated mindset which creates a defeated attitude?
The opposition that comes against you will try to get you to give up and give in. However, when you follow God will, he will say; let opposition spark opportunity in your life. When opposition says; your dreams are dead, be reminded that opportunity says; no, your dreams are alive! When opposition says; you’re never going to make it, be reminded that opportunity says; If He is for you then no man can be against you!
Opportunity only comes when you give your whole life over to God. You can do that through prayer. Pray to God for strength and direction daily. If you feel lost, allow the compass of Christ to show you your path. If you need strength to help you through a tough time remember God is your portion who is a mighty fortress in the storm.
Aim for God’s greatness daily, and don’t allow the devil or dark forces to rain on your spirit. Stand firm in the fact that you have been created in His image and only you can give away your happiness each day. God has sought to bless you, not curse you, so stand up against the opposition that comes against you and know the opportunities in serving God far out way the benefits of the world.
Lastly, follow God’s will for your life and not your own. Many times, troubles that come your way are brought on by your actions. Why? Because God has given you free will. He does not force you to love him. He does not force you to follow him. It’s your choice, much like you choose to sin or not to sin. “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:11) Joy does not come from worldly things, but through a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ.
The opposition wants you to be held back, but Gods greatness says; the opportunities I have for you are much greater than you hope for or imagine. Allow God to use the opposition in your life to spark opportunities.
